Microsoft CRM and Scalability
If you want to know more about MS CRM and scalability you should read the following great documents:
- The Microsoft CRM 1.2 Performance Scaling Analysis Whitepaper. As the download page mentions, this white paper discusses the key hardware features that contribute to Microsoft CRM system performance, focusing on a range of organization sizes from 100 to 1,000 users. It provides scalability information under a certain test configuration, but by no means can be used to judge overall scalability.
- The Microsoft CRM 1.2 Performance Test Whitepaper, which discusses sales force automation performance workload for up to 1000 system users leveraging Hewlett Packard servers. Again, this whitepaper provides scalability information under a certain test configuration, but by no means can be used to judge overall scalability.
I do encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the Optimizing the Performance of Microsoft CRM 1.2 White Paper (also on the Download Center), which encompasses learnings gained when working through performance/scalability issues with a few of our larger deployments. The above mentioned scalability analyses do provide good data, but the Performance Optimization Whitepaper provides valuable SQL tuning hints, etc. that can substantially enhance performance.
